IPTN prepares health professionals to safely prescribe Therapeutic Nutrition

ABOUT IPTN
The IPTN is a not-for-profit collaboration between researchers, academics, practitioners and health decision-makers
IPTN was started in 2016 to advance the idea of personalized, therapeutic nutrition and to foster a 'food first' culture in Canada for treating chronic diseases. Since 2016 we have worked to close the research-practice gap for health professionals by translating evidence into educational programs to support practice change.
We also advocate for therapeutic nutrition as a fundamental and required aspect of patient care. Adoption of a 'food first' approach to treating chronic diseases has the potential to reduce unnecessary suffering and health care costs, and dramatically improve health outcomes and quality of life for Canadians.
